An upscale space with a bird's eye view of Penang. Love the animal caricature photos that deck the walls. The bar seems well stocked. Food wise, I loved the lemon tarts, pasta and chips! The mint sauce deserves a mention too.
Dropped in at 4pm on a Friday evening. They had an impressive selection of international gin alongside other liquors. Gin cocktail menu was also quite interesting. My friend and I had a cucumber gimlet and a rosemary gin fizz (made with in-house infused gin). Very refreshing and well-mixed though not too strong. Fair amount against the price of the cocktails. Ambiance is nice and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Worth for a couple drinks in a relaxing environment.
The bar on the top floor of the Courtyard Hotel has a bit of a retro atmosphere. Interestingly, there is a 007 special martini on the drink list. Gin is the signature here. I tried the sparkling gin special and non-alcoholic ones recommended by friends. Mojito, I think it tastes pretty good
